Weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine,
which spotlights upcoming books we can't wait to read.

This week I can't wait to read:
Daylighters by Rachel Caine

Goodreads Summary:

While Morganville, Texas, is often a troubled town, Claire Danvers and her friends are looking forward to coming home. But the Morganville they return to isn’t the one they know; it’s become a different place—a deadly one…

Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire and her friends were away. The town looks cleaner and happier than they’ve ever seen it before, but when their incoming group is arrested and separated—vampires from humans—they realize that the changes definitely aren’t for the better.

It seems that an organization called the Daylight Foundation has offered the population of Morganville something they’ve never had: hope of a vampire-free future. And while it sounds like salvation—even for the vampires themselves—the truth is far more sinister and deadly.

Now, Claire, Shane and Eve need to find a way to break their friends out of Daylighter custody, before the vampires of Morganville meet their untimely end

Why I can't wait:
I fell in love with this series so fast. It was nothing like I had expected and it just introduced me to a whole new level of YA and vampire series. Seriously, the drama and action is crazy. I love it so much. I can never get enough. But alas *sniff* this is the end. I love Rachel Caine for her plot twists that keep me on the edge of my seat. I started the series when there were about 8 books. I read through those first 8 SO FAST. And since then, I've been impatiently waiting for the next book and the next book and the next book... I honestly think I'm going to fall apart when I finish this book. Just because Morganville and all the people in it have been such a big part of my life for so long. Is that weird? Still can't wait to read it though. The way the last book ended was a total cliff hanger!

Version I want:
