But this time, of the writing sort.
The project was due yesterday, so it's behind me now.
However, this deadline of mine for my book?
It's freaking me out. It really is.
So, of course, I start procrastinating.....
You see, I love writing. I love not knowing how it's going to end, and then- BAM!
It hits you.
I guess, the truth is, I'm scared of the ending. The plot is really coming together nicely. So I'm at the part where I make it or break it. It's either gonna work, or it's not.
There is that OTHER problem I have...
So, there are many problems, with me and my writing. Just in general.
And I hate that I can't finish things.
1. When I was eight, I took a few guitar lessons. Key words: A FEW.
2. I played soccer for three years: when I was 5, 6, and again when I was 10. Who knows why I stopped but I don't play anymore.

I can't think of anymore right now, but I know there are a few more.
The point is, I have trouble sticking with things that don't come naturally to me. I am a lazy person. I'm not proud of it, but it's the truth.
And I am trying to work through that.
Which is why my goal is to finish my book by April.
I'll post a quick summary sometime in March. I don't know if you'll be interested or not. It's in YA sci-fi genre. There's romance-like qualities, action, suspense, people die.
At least, that's what it's supposed to have. Not sure how well I'm doing this, but I'll worry about that later.
So what about you? You have problems sticking with something? Do you have a goal you want to achieve more than anything else?

So, I was checking Blogger real quick. (As a way to procrastinate on my project, of course)
And I noticed something.
*excited shriek!*
I have 50 followers. I still can't wrap my head around that.
My blog is ten months old and has 50 followers!
That's something to celebrate, right?
Unfortunately, I don't have time to do that right now!
I have a project due tomorrow!
And I can't do it this weekend. Because I have about 6 different things to do (3 of which are birthdays) and 4 days to them in!
So, we're going to celebrate in March. Around the time that I start my countdowns (there are several).
I'll explain that later. I have less than 4 hours to finish my project.
That's enough time. But I wanna get it done.
And it's not the only thing due tomorrow, so...
Have a good day!

Hey, everybody!
As you know (or maybe you don't...), I have a goal to finish my very first novel before my birthday in April. Yay!
Well, I was working on it this weekend. The plot started coming together.
Should be a good thing, right? I should be excited!
Well, I am. Apparently, I'm so excited that I've been having a killer headache for the last two days.
But that's not the reason I want to run away screaming.
Besides my headache, there's another problem with a plot finally coming together.
I've got editing to do! Yay!
I mean, yeah, I'm excited. I guess. But personally, I've always dreaded editing. I love improving it, sure. But I hate having to go through every line carefully to pick out anything that doesn't belong. And to add anything that has to be added.
It's one of those things that you love to hate and hate to love.
Much like a Maroon 5 song that I like very much (The Sun by Maroon 5).
Anyways, this post was kind of a way to procrastinate on that.
I gotta stop doing that.
I have a month and a half to finish the writing and hopefully start on the editing.
So, yeah, I'm kinda freaking out.
I can finish a project just fine without worrying.
But I can't finish a book.
There's a reason that this'll (hopefully) be my first.
But I'm determined to finish it! I have to!
So, wish me luck!
I'm diving in....

I'm pretty sure that somewhere I read that Pride is one of the seven deadly sins.
Am I right, or did I just make that up?
Anyways, I'm not getting into sins. And religious stuff.
I am not a religious person. And I don't like getting into the details of what I do and don't believe. Because people always give me weird looks.
I'm not atheist or anything. But I don't have a specific religion.
Anyways, back to pride.
Or something like that.
I told you about all my projects right? Well, we just started second semester. Meaning all the teachers are pushing us to learn everything before the CSTs, blah blah blah.
Well, I had a project due Thursday. Me being me, I didn't start much until Sunday. It was a book report. And I'll let you in on a secret.
Come closer.
*whispers* I didn't actually finish the book. *GASP!*
I guess it's good that it was a research book report. Thanks to Google and Wikipedia, I didn't actually read the book.
I would have, but it was terribly annoying how boring it was. I just couldn't do it.
I really couldn't.
So, here's what I did.
I "read" the book. Found out all my info online. And I wrote it really nicely.
I put what I knew the teacher was wanted. She wanted deep stuff. I can do that. And mean it half of the time. So, my person was Jame K. Polk. Most people don't know who he is. So finding interesting things about him wasn't all that hard. I wrote my own opinion on him. And I did mean it. I actually thought those things about him.
He was a pretty good president and all. Maybe I'll write a post about him. Just so you know more about him.
Well, I got it back yesterday. And it was graded and all.
So guess what my score was. Out of 50.
*Jeopardy theme song*
I got a 50!
I'm so proud of myself! :)
(there's that pride again. :0 )
Anyways, report cards came out about two weeks ago. If you really want to know. I managed to get all A+'s.
You can go ahead and hate me now.
I swear, that's all people do.
You suck.
*Insert word here* you.
I hate you.
It's all the same. No one ever says "Good job" or "That must've been a lot of hard work" or anything that could otherwise be interpreted as positive.
It's not that I actually work all that hard though. I just naturally get good grades. I guess that's why people always say they hate me. I don't try all that hard. And I can easily get the highest grade in the class.
But still. I'm sick of all the negative energy.
Me being me, I kind of stay quiet. They can hate me all they want. I won't say a word.
And my best friend is always annoyed by that. See, she tries really hard. She's in a tough situation (like we all aren't). And she gets good grades. But then she'll try and compare them to mine. She always gets mad at me. Or if she gets a higher grade, she'll go on to brag that she's smarter than me.
Not that I mind. But I hate the assumptions. Because it doesn't mean I'm smarter than her if I get a higher grade. So why should it mean that for her?
Not that I complain. She is my best friend, after all.
She puts up with me, I can put up with her.
Which is my negative view of our friendship. It's a lot better than that, really.
I mean, we're teenage girls.
I'm talking about myself now. Huh.
Something is wrong with that.
I think I'll stop now. I'll post tomorrow about some book updates, writing updates, post updates.
Closer to March, I'll be doing an A to Z Challenge warm up. Just to get y'all excited. :)
Later, Gator.

Title inspired by the book (and movie): It's Kind of a funny Story by Ned Vizzini.
By the way, I thought it was a great YA novel.

Anyways, I was looking through some of my older posts. Kind of like walking down memory lane, you know?

Well, as it turns out, my last post A New Beginning, is my 100th post!

Yeah! Woo!

My blog isn't even a year old.
I've got almost 50 followers.
And 101 (including this one) posts!

Well, that was my good news, now on to a few other things.
First off, the A to Z Challenge in April. Yes, it's two months away. But an event as big as this? You need some time to prepare.
So, here's how it goes:
February- Get used to the idea that you HAVE to squeeze out a blog post every day Monday through Saturday for the whole month of April.

(Hiro Nakamura from Hereos. C'mon, Hiro, bend that space-time continuum!)

March- Prepare you hands and eyes for a bunch of typing and reading. You need to type your posts. Read other people's blogs. Comment on their posts. They will comment on yours. You reply to their comments. March is about preparing yourself for the new friends and blogs you will be encountering next month.

April- YOU BETTER BE READY! FORGET YOUR LIFE! All of your life now depends on your blog and the blogs of the other 500+ people that are participating! (No, you don't have to follow all of them. But find the ones you like, follow those. They might follow you back.)

But, most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Throughout the entire month of April, you will be forming friendships. Your hopes are that they last for however long you blog. It's a chance to read other people's work. To find people with the same interests as you. And you know that at least someone will be reading your posts and commenting on them.

It's about building a community where you all have one thing in common:

You love to blog.

*dramatic pause.*

I really hope you admired that, right there. I had to take advantage of the moment.

But, it's true. I participated last year, and I am totally looking forward to doing it again this year. It'll be fun, so let's do this....

Good luck! :D

Hmmm. How inspirational is that?
No, maybe not inspirational.
What would you call it?
Anyways, that's not really the point. (Although it probably should be, because that's the title, isn't it?)
Well, I've been not-blogging for a while. I hate thinking that I've given up.
I remember when I would go weeks without missing a day of blogging.
Unfortunately, school *ahem* has a nasty habit of getting the way.
I've said that enough times, so I won't get into more detail.
I've got a few things to share.
First, I'm slowly getting through my Major Project. My friend is going through what I have so far. I probably should've waited until I was done completely, but I figured some feedback along the way can't be that bad, right?
Well, there's that.
Second, I have read a lot of good books recently. Hopefully I have some time to share them with you.
Third, if you're a follower of Arlee Bird, surely you've heard about the A to Z Challenge?
You may or may not remember that I was in it last year. I found it absolutely Fun and Inspirational. It kind of Motivates you to get your butt in front of your computer.
It's kind of like some Friendly competition. Can you blog every day (except Sundays) and stick to the letter of the day?
It's especially fun when you find a few blog-y friends. :)
I'll try to reconnect with a few that I may or may not have lost due to my absence.
You better be ready.
Wolfie is just getting started. ;)
