Currently reading:
Hunger (Gone, 2) by Michael Grant

As you may or may not have noticed, I'm reading, starting, ending, many series.
I hate that I always choose the book series that haven't quite ended yet.
Like, The Hunger Games.
I love it.
But I had to wait months for Catching Fire.
And months for Mockingjay.
Although I must say that the waiting made me that much more excited....
So, I guess it's not too bad...
I mean I love series, but sometimes I don't like them so much.
Sometimes I just want to know how it ends.
But if I love the books enough, I never want it to end.
You know what I mean?

Anyways, all these series mean that my books-to-read list is very long.
On Goodreads, it's about a thousand books.
I'm slowly working my way through it and taking off the books that I added but don't actually WANT to read.
So, every week I want to do a post on a book (or a few books...) that I am waiting for.
And you can tell me what books YOU'RE waiting for.
Also, I'll be posting some reviews for the books listed soon.
Anyways, until then,
Happy Reading! (And Writing!)

I don't know why I'm making such a big deal out of this.
But I'm going to be gone for the weekend.
Will be back on Monday.
So, good bye for now.
But real quick.
Guess what.

And I'm about half way through.

Will tell you more when I get back.
Good bye! (For now...)

I ALMOST got Mockingjay today. My parents took us to West Coast Plaza. There was a Borders across the street.
We all thought that it was IN the mall. Apparently not.
So, we just left.
Apparently they'll take me to the Borders here.
By the way, I'm spending every last penny to get this book.
That's how much I want it. :)

So I went to the mall today for some sale. We walked passed Borders and guess what I saw.

Do you know how torturous that was? I almost DIED!!!

Because, guess what.

Of course, I expected that. But still. It hurt. A lot. :'(

So, I have to wait. Hopefully not until Christmas.
My dad gets coupons from Target and Borders. Hopefully he'll get one soon...

And I am not kidding.... :/

I wish my parents could just buy it for me... But they don't buy me books. According to them, I could just get them for free at the library. But I can't underline or bookmark or highlight library books. Plus, I love rereading some parts over and over and over and over again. And that would be very inconvenient if I didn't own it. Because then I'd have to go to the library every time that happened. Why can't they realize that I am just saving them time and gas money?
Anyways, not the point. The point was that I NEED MOCKINGJAY!!!!!

But I've been waiting for months. It's out.
I just need to wait a few more weeks....
It'll be hard...
But I've done it before...
And it'll be worth it....

Happy reading.
Hope YOU can get the books you want.

This is one of my favorite TV shows of all time. :D
It aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon. Now, you can watch it Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 on Nicktoons. The best part is that it has "extras". :) Little tidbits of information on the series: recaps, behind-the-scenes, and the occasional humorous commentary.
Avatar is an animated television series created and produced by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. It's set "in an Asian-influenced world of Chinese martial arts and elemental manipulation."" The show blended "the styles of anime and US domestic cartoons."

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF AVATAR (No... *sigh*... not Pandora...)

In a world where people can manipulate one of the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, and Air), the Avatar is the one who can control all four elements. He/she is also responsible for keeping balance between the four nations: Water Tribes (North and South), Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. The Avatar is born into the next element in the cycle. He/she learns their natural element first, and then learns them in order. For example, Avatar Roku was from the Fire Nation, so he was a firebender. When he turned 16, the Fire Sages told him that he was the next Avatar. So, he master Fire, Air, Water and Earth. In that order.
100 years ago, Fire Lord Sozin used the power of a comet, later renamed Sozin's comet, to get rid of the Air Nomads, knowing that the next Avatar would be an airbender, starting the war.
Present day... (Northern Water Tribe)
Katara and her brother Sokka are fishing. Sokka annoys Katara. Not a big deal, right?
Well, she's a waterbender and their in the water. She's not good or anything (yet...), but she's so frustrated that she causes a giant wave. The ice around the small boat crushes it and Katara and Sokka jump off. They notice a strange blue light coming from underneath the ocean. An iceberg emerges and Katara sees a person in it. She runs toward it and uses Sokka's weapon (forgot what it was...) to break open the iceberg.
Out of the iceberg comes... Aang and Appa!!!
However, the Fire Nation is nearing victory in the war... Did all the aribenders disappear? Who is the Avatar? Is he still around?
And will he save the world?

But we're only getting started....
So to find out how it ends... YOU GOTTA WATCH THE TV SERIES!!!!!
It's really cool and interesting and amusing and entertaining.... :)
So, be a smart little duck and go watch AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER!!!!!

I'm not a professional, but just so you know, the quotes are from Wikipedia. :D

This is a song by JoJo, just so you know.
Anyways, I don't have time to write a real post today. Suck, right?
Well, my internet was down this morning. And by the time it started working again, my parents decided to take me and my sister to Sizzler's. So, no post.
Then we went to the mall and I already got a few shirts for school. Which kind of scares me, so I'm trying not to think too much about it...
Anyways, I just came back. So this is my lame excuse for a post.
But it proves that I posted today. Even when the internet was down.
So, hurray for me!
Good night everybody.

With five days left until the release of Mockingjay, I decided to do a post on The Hunger Games.
I must say that I am a HUGE fan. I thought The Hunger Games was absolutely AMAZING!
Catching Fire was even BETTER!!!
So, I am eagerly awaiting the release of Mockingjay...

Unfortunately, though, I probably won't be reading it until December. I'm out of money right now and I want to buy Mockingjay... So, I'll just be waiting until after Christmas. I'll have some money to spend on books, then. :)

So, onto The Hunger Games...

Seventy-four years ago, District 13 rebelled against the Capitol. District 13 was destroyed. As a punishment to the rest of Panem (and as a reassurance so as to prevent this from happening again), the Capitol created the Hunger Games. Every year, one boy and one girl from each District between the ages of twelve and eighteen will compete in the Hunger Games. This makes a total of 24 tributes.
Every 25 years is the Quarter Quell, a special edition of the Hunger Games. These Quarter Quells mark the anniversary of the Capitol’s victory over District 12 and special celebrations are held. The Gamemakers make that year’s Hunger Games unique, including twists that make them more exciting or dangerous. There is a small box that contains the instructions for each Quarter Quell. The current President with take out the card that corresponds with that Quarter Quell and reads it on live television, announcing the theme of that year’s Quell.
25th Hunger Games: Instead of randomly selecting people in the Reaping, the tributes were voted into the Hunger Games by the people of their own district.
50th Hunger Games: Instead of the usual two tributes, four tributes were chosen from each district. This meant twice as many people in the arena and that made it twice as harsh.

North America had been plagued with several devastating disasters; natural disasters that destroyed and much of its land. Panem is the nation that rose of out the ruins of what had previously been North America. At its center is the Capitol, surrounded by thirteen other, poorer, districts. The farther away the district is from the Capitol, the poorer it is, with District 12 among the poorest and Districts 1, 2, and 4 among the richest. Each district varies in size and population. District 12 has a population of about 8,000. Other districts, like District 11, are huge, stretching on for miles and miles with enormous populations.

Plot: (Summary)
In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Katniss Everdeen: Katniss is strong. She's had to struggle to survive. Her father died in a mining accident. Her mother was a healer, of sorts, who fell apart after her husband died. She learned how to hunt so that she could feed her family, even though hunting was illegal. Her worst nightmares come to life when her sister, Prim, is chosen in the reaping. Katniss volunteers to take her place. So, I really like Katniss. I admire her strength and determination. She isn't about to sit down and watch her life being played for her. Unlike some other characters...
Gale Hawthorne: He's been Katniss's best friend since their fathers both died in the same mining accident. He goes hunting with Katniss every Sunday and calls her Catnip.
Peeta Mellark: He is the second tribute from District 12. Her fell in love with Katniss the first of school. When he and Katniss are sent to the Capitol to prepare for the Games, he tells Panem that he is in love with her during an interview. This is what really kicks off the Games and the book, in my opinion.
Rue: She is the female tribute of District 11. And she plays a big part in The Hunger Games trilogy, though her appearance is brief. If she had not been in the Hunger Games, there would be no Catching Fire. And I'm very curious to see what happens in Mockingjay. I'm willing to bet that if she had not appeared in the series, none of that would have happened.

Primrose Everdeen: She is Katniss's younger sister. Prim was originally chosen in the reaping, but her sister took her place to save her.

Haymitch Abernathy: He was the male tribute and victor in the 50th Hunger Games. The second Quarter Quell. He is the second of only two victors that came from District 12. Because of this, he is Katniss and Peeta's mentor. He proves to be quite capable of keeping the two alive.

Effie Trinket: She is the escort for District 12 and does everything from drawing the names at the reaping, to escorting the tributes to the Capitol. Over time, she starts getting attached to Peeta and Katniss.

Cinna: He is Katniss's stylist. He is responsible for "The Girl Who Was on Fire", Katniss's nickname after he designed an outfit that was supposed to set on fire.

So, I really loved The Hunger Games. It was more than the extremely violent and heartless book that it appears to be at times. It's much more than winning the Hunger Games, or survival. It's about something much bigger. It's about the choice we make. And why we make them.
Katniss choose to take her sisters place. Why? Because she wanted to save Prim. And she would do that at all costs.
So, if you haven't read The Hunger Games, you should. It was amazing.
(Just so you know, some of the information here was from a school project I did on The Hunger Games, mostly the HISTORY and SETTING sections.)

Rhythm of Love by Plain White T's.
I love this song. It is currently my favorite song. :D
As it so happens, I first heard this song at the OC Fair when I went with my cousin last Thursday. We went on the ride... um... Evolution. That's the one. Anyways, while we were waiting, they were playing music. We had really liked it and tried to remember some of the lines so that we could find it later.
Well, we get off the ride and I'm still humming and I have this one line stuck in my head. Blah blah blah.... A while later I realize that the line has disappeared from my mind. So, I ask my cousin. Nothing. We can't remember it anymore. She remembers something about "love" and I remember something about "tonight". That does not help us at all. I search them on Google, as many variations as I can think of. Google leads me to the song If Only Tonight We Could Sleep by The Cure. And I know for a fact that that was not the song I was looking for.
So I wait patiently for a few days. It slips out of my mind.
Then yesterday, my house phone is ringing. And ringing. And ringing.
You see, we usually don't answer the house phone anymore. Half the time it's some person looking for Maria, but there is no Maria living here. So, there you go.
So, we ignore the ringing as best we can.
I'm on Facebook and my cousin starts talking to me on that chat thing. She's like, "Hey, you wanna go to the park?"
So, I ask my parents and they're like "Okay."
So, blah blah blah, we talk about the park.
Then before she signs out she's like, "Oh. Yeah. I found the song."
And I'm like "REALLY?!?!?!?!"
So, I'm all excited as I wait for her to tell me what it is.
Rhythm of Love by Plain White T's.
So I'm like "What? How'd you find it?"
She says that she was watching MTV or something. You know, those music video count down things? And then they start playing this song and she's thinking, "This sound familiar." And then it hits her. IT'S THE SONG FROM THE FAIR!!!!!
And then she's all like, I tried to call you but your cell phone kept going to voice mail and nobody answered your house phone.
And I'm thinking, "SHOOT! I could've known earlier...."
So she signs out and I check the song on YouTube.
And I almost scream. SHE FOUND IT!!!
So, I've been listening to the song over and over as I write this. The happiness has stuck with me. THANK YOU EMILY!
Even though you'll probably never read this... THANK YOU!
She has no idea how happy I am now that our mystery song is no longer a mystery... :D
So here are the lyrics:

My head is stuck in the clouds
She begs me to come down
Says "Boy quit foolin' around"
I told her "I love the view from up here
The warm sun and wind in my ear
We'll watch the world from above
As it turns to the rhythm of love
"We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun you're mine all mine
Play the Music low and sway to the rhythm of love
My heart beats like a drum
A guitar string to the strum
A beautiful song to be sung
She's got blue eyes deep like the sea
That roll back when she's laughing at me
She rises up like the tide
The moment her lips meet mine
We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun you're mine all mine
Play the Music low and sway to the rhythm of love
When the moon is low
We can dance in slow motion
And all your tears will subside
All your tears will dry
And long after I've gone
You'll still be humming along
And I will keep you in my mind
The way you make love so fine
We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun you're mine all mine
Play the music low and sway to the rhythm of love

You can go ahead and listen to it HERE or wait until I have a play list set up...

This is my second time posting this... Stupid phone... The first time I tried posting this, I pressed 'ok' and the screen froze. Slide the phone shut and the screen was a yellow orange and red confusion. Is that a sign?
I'm still using my phone...
Anyways, I just wanted to write a few quick things...
1. Welcome whatever new followers have come across my little blog. If you came from my Reader Person blog, thank you for deciding to follow my Writer Person blog. :)

2. If you haven't already, I'd really appreciate it if you read my last post. Sorry I couldn't leave a link... like I said, I'm using my phone...

3. I know I didn't post yesterday... but that will not stop me from continuing on until Saturday... :D

4. I've been watching Invader Zim for the past few days... I will tell you more about that tomorrow, when I have time. :) ZEEEEEM!!!!!

5. I will be doing some posts on songs and books soon. Hopefully starting tomorrow. :)

And there was some other stuff I mentioned the first time I wrote this... Oh!
Some more scenes/visions will be written. I'll be making another page for it. If you can find out what the word is for ten kids born at the same time (like: twin=2; tripulet=3; quintuplets=5; etc.) I'd really like to know...

Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again.

Yes! My second post in a row!!!!! How cool is that? :D
Gosh, who knew a girl could be so happy because of that! Ha!

I'm good now... I've calmed down...

HA! AS IF!!!

Sorry about that. Gosh. Anyways...
Today, we are NOT talking about tooth paste... Nope. I love tooth paste as much as the next person, but that is not what I'm talking about.
Today I am going to introduce you to this idea... which I've technically already introduced you to. You remember that one scene I wrote? About the elevator? No?

Remember now?
Okay. Good. Well, that was the first of ten stories. Of ten visions.

Here's the story: (literally)

There are ten kids. They are, well, whatever the word is for ten kids born at the same time (Please tell me if you know.) But they don't know that. They all live in the same state, the same city. But they hardly know that the others exist.
But then one day, their older sister comes. And she comes with a message. A truth. A lie. A prophecy. And a warning.
They are not from this world. They came from a distant planet in another universe. They were sent to Earth. But why? What happened to their planet? And why should they go back? What can they possibly do to save a dying planet?

Okay, I don't know about you, but that sounds interesting, right?
I will admit that this wasn't MY idea. I helped with it, but this idea came from a phone conversation I had with my friend. (The same friend who wrote VWRP with me. Stephus's POV.) I don't remember how it went, but by the time we hung up, this was born.
I'm not sure what's going on with us. She's.. we're not exactly fighting... but... I don't know. Just, somethings not right...
So, I'm pursuing the idea on my own. Mostly for fun. But if it goes somewhere... I won't leave her out...

But that's not the point of this post. The point was to introduce you (officially) to this idea.
But there's more...
So, here they are:
TEN: (In order)
Ellianna (Ellie)
Kayla (K or Kay)
Alexandra (Alex)
Melanie (Mel)

Their older sister is: BEATRICE

The elevator vision was seen by Kayla.

Laila and Jack are twins.

Jordin and Claire are twins. Just so you know, Jordin is a girl.

The whole twins thing is somewhat confusing at first, considering that they're all born at the same time anyway. But the thing is, they were born at the same time on THEIR planet. When they were sent to Earth, it was in spirit. So, they were born AGAIN in human form. And something another caused Jack and Laila, and Jordin and Claire to be twins.

So, the ten kids don't know each other. Only as neighbors or classmates. The exceptions are the two sets of twins.

Got that?
I hope so. So, that's today's intro.
Join me tomorrow when I talk about:

DO you need to wash your dishes? Well, guess what! You can't!
At least, not without your... DISH WATER!!!

As patient as I can be sometimes, I am not patient when it comes to books. I hate the waiting! I have a habit of reading books as soon as they come out. That is not good. You know why? Because that means that if there is a sequel, I have to wait for MONTHS and MONTHS and MONTHS. And it sucks. It really does.
For example, Vampire Academy. I read the first three books like that *snap*. But then I had to wait MONTHS for Blood Promise. It came out in August, I read it in August. But that meant that I had to wait 9 MONTHS! for Spirit Bound to come out. Now, I have to wait 4 MORE MONTHS for Last Sacrifice to come out.
And you know what makes waiting for this series worse? They are so dang good! All the suspense, the romance, the action. THE WAITING IT KILLING ME!!!
I absolutely love Richelle Mead. She totally opened the door to the world of vampires. Did I tell you the story? I think that was my Reader Person blog... ANYWAYS...
Back in November 2008, I read Twilight. Me, being me, I loved it. Blah blah blah.. Twilight Twilight Twilight... I finished the series January 2009. Whatever... Twilight is awesome... blah blah blah... But then I read Vampire Academy. And it was like: HOLY FISH CAKES!!! THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!
So, that mixed the over-exposure to Twilight... It made me realize how not good Twilight was. How boring it was compared to VA. Twilight is a love story. And not even a good one at that. Plus, what kind of vampire sparkles? I'm sorry but what kind of vampire sparkles? The stupid ones. Vampires were not meant to sparkle. They can burn in the sun, be uncomfortable in the sun, but they SHOULD NOT sparkle in the sun.
Plus, the characters. Bella is about the weakest character I have ever heard of. Edward is the most possessive and controlling.

Rose, on the other hand, can fight her own battles. She does NOT need a guy to complete her. The guy mess she's in just adds to the intrigue. But she's strong, she's fierce, and she is awesome.
Dimitri. The first guy that comes out in the series. He becomes her instructor, and later they fall in love. But then Frost Bite and Shadow Kiss happen. He is tall, dark, and handsome. Russian and one of the best Guardians around.

Adrian. The second guy in the loop. First introduced in Frost Bite. He's a royal Moroi, the Queen's great-nephew. Yes, he smokes. Yes, he drinks. But I will tell you right now why he does that: He is a spirit user. Being a spirit user comes with tons of side effects. The smoking and drinking numbs these side effects.
Neither guy pressures Rose the way Edward and Jacob pressure Bella. And neither one is as stupid as Edward or Jacob.

Anyways, that's today's vampire post. See you all tomorrow when we're discussing:

I'm With You is a song by Avril Lavigne.
I really like it. :)
As it so happens, I am using the computer today. YAY!
It seems so weird. My blogging has been on and off for a while, but I will try to change that. Somehow. Like I said, it helps that I can now post from my phone. :)
Sorry for any words that are spelled incorrectly. That would be the result of me being new to texting. I think this "unlimited" business really gets to teenagers' heads. Okay, my head.
Anyways, I have also started playing Pokemon again. I really hope you all know what that is. Well, I've been playing the video games since I was three. No kidding. As far as I can remember, playing Pokemon had never been a problem for me. I also knew how to play the card game. I remember collecting cards since I was about five. Unfortunately, I lost all of those cards. We moved the summer I was five. We lost a lot of stuff during that move. All of our stuff was outside when it started to rain. And rain. And rain. There was an overhang. Or whatever those roof-things are in the backyard. But water leaked through. Plus the garage was horribly dirty and dusty and horrible. So, everything in there got covered in dust, and dirt, and spider webs, and ugly bugs. :/
So we lost a lot of stuff in that move. But that is horribly off topic. Actually, I'm not even sure what my topic was in the first place. Isn't that nice?
Anyways, sorry for not posting in two days. I am making a little challenge for myself. I will post every day until next Saturday. You think I can do it?

I am testing out my new phone. No, not my Samsung Impression. It kept freezing. I was going to return it for another Samsung Impression. My uncle knows a lot about phones and stuff. He told me that I should just get another phone because his girlfriend had the Samsung Impression. She returned it twice before she decided to get a new phone. She got the Pantech Pursuit. Me? I got the Pantech Ease. Apparently, Pantech is a good brand.
So, here I am. Testing out my Pantech Pursuit that I have had for less than 24 hours.
I like that I can do blogs posts from here. I really think it will keep me blogging regularly. :)
So, hope you have a good writing day.
I will be posting again tomorrow.
Hopefully. :D
