Closing Time by Semisonic.
In case you were wondering where the title came from. It came from a lyric from that song.
Needless to say, I love that line.
Because it is so true.
Just think about it for a while....
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.
Think.

You done thinking about it?
It's amazing. I love it. It's like a pessimistic/optimistic saying at the same time.
:)
That's all I really had to say.
I needed to bring that up.
Oh, and this quote from Avatar: The Last Airbender (tv series)
Katara: "Aw, Sokka, you really do have a heart." (hugs Sokka)
Aang: "He really does have a heart." (wipes away tears)
(Toph elbows him. Aang falls down.)

HAHAHA! It was funny. :)
Also, something else that's funny:
notalwaysright.com
Funny!
Now, I'm done.
I'm still on break from VA, if you were wondering.
Later, Gator!

Okay, so that may not have been an appropriate title for this post.
Partially because of the fact that I'm very sad, upset, annoyed, angry, confused.
But the title actually came from one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists.
Sunday Morning by Maroon 5.
Amazing song that I've been listening to recently.
Between that and my Antler Philosophy (will explain later), I've been working through the feelings listed above.
Which brings me to my next point.
Why am I feeling like this?
Well, it started out with this crazy obsession that's been going on for two years....
Vampire Academy. Fell in love with it. Absolutely. With the story, the characters, everything.
Frostbite. Holy cow. That's when I started seeing Richelle Mead's genius.
Shadow Kiss. Best author ever. Loved the ending. Tragic, sure. But left tons of possibilities.
Blood Promise. Amazing. Sure, I was annoyed/ pissed of at Dimitri. And definitely by Rose at some points. And the ending was great. Til the *letter*. Which you don't know about and I won't tell you about. But it changes everything. Now, I see the genius behind this. Tons of drama and such in the future. And I was cool with that. Until...
Spirit Bound. Now, it was awesome. Amazing. The ending left thousands of possibilities. Anything could have happened. Anything. But during the story, I had one problem, and one problem only (besides the *accusation*): Dimitri.
And I was over him. Me, as the reader. He had gone to far and I moved on.
To Adrian.
I had already liked him. Had liked him since he first showed up. And in Spirit Bound, I grew to love him. Because Dimitri was now out of the way. Adrian was everything and the only thing for me.
Obviously not for Rose.
Because:
Last Sacrifice.
Wanna guess who she chooses?
I don't want to outright tell you. I hate spoiling stuff. But if you happen to guess, I'm not giving much away. Am I?
But the point is: Who she chooses.
It destroyed me. Tore me to pieces. I literally almost cried. I couldn't believe it. Not Richelle Mead. She couldn't be sucked into the world of happy endings.
And though there were still a lot of lose ends *ahem.* *Adrian.*, it was basically a happy ending.
For everyone except for:
Guess who.
So, now I'm torn. Brokenhearted. Richelle Mead. My favorite vampire author ever. Or author, period.
And she resorted to the happiest happy ending you can get.
Stupid hot Russian Dimitri.
No, I don't mean that. I guess there was a point when I thought he was awesome. I still do.
Kinda. Not really.
I'm too hurt to think very clearly.
My Antler Philosophy isn't going so well.
Speaking of, I should tell you about it. Maybe it'll distract me and activate its powers or something.
So, I have these Antlers. You know, the ones they usually sell during Christmas time. So people can get into the Holiday Season and whatnot. Well, I've got one of those.
I've had it for a while. But I've started wearing it recently.
And I came up with this Philosophy.
You can never be anything but happy while wearing these Antlers.
Well, I'm wearing them, and have been wearing them for an hour.
They have not been making me overly happy. It's always worked before.
But I think my excitement over Last Sacrifice helped its Powers.
Now that I'm disappointed by it, the Powers are as Strong.
So I'm giving myself a break from VA. My obsession that I've held onto for two years.
I need it. Too many emotions. Too many attachments. One hundred pages before it ended (around 460), my heart wasn't into it anymore. She has chosen. And I couldn't believe it.
And my reaction was not just emotional like I expected it might be.
No, I had a slight headache. My heart was in physical pain. And I was nauseous. Horribly so. It almost hurt to continue. Because I knew there wasn't going to be some surprise ending. I knew how it was going to end. I figured had out all of the mysteries by that point.
No surprises.
But I think this is what hurt the most:
Richelle Mead took my Plan. She has an original guy. Thrust another one in. One who undoubtedly loved Rose. But one that she would have trouble loving back because of someone *cough.*
And then he would be thrown away, either through compassionate or cruel means.
And she would go back to the original guy.
Because the second guy never mattered.
He was just a tool used to make your writing a bit more interesting.
Now I have no idea how Richelle Mead came up with Adrian, or how she figured she would use him. But with my own personal story, I knew it as soon as the idea formed. But I also knew that the second guy would it no way be capable of loving her.
Not because she isn't lovable. But because he's a jerk who should never have been an option anyway. Obviously, I gotta fix that. Guys like that are terribly annoying.
Anyways, on a break from VA. I'll let my friend borrow it. She'll be happy at least.
But I refuse to talk about it anymore.
Officially on break.
Good night.
-Wolfie
PS. The reason I'm upset about the *happy ending* is because it reminds me of Twilight. And you all know how I feel about that. :/

So, I mentioned this Thing in my Last post.
And I'm ready to tell you about it.
You may or may not have noticed that there is yet another blog on my blog list.
If not, I guess I'll tell you now.
I have a new blog.
Silent Blogs.

It's not a blog about me, in case you're wondering. It's a story in the process.
And it's about a girl. And she creates a blog, telling about her life story.
But no, it's not mine.
It's all fantasy.
Or, realistic fiction.
Now, the title was inspired by my science teacher, believe it or not.
He was said something about our Science Logs. And I could've sworn he said Silent Blogs.
Well, he didn't. But the idea stuck in my head.
SO, I created it. And I'm in the process of posting/writing it.
I wrote the first post earlier. And I wrote some more, but I have yet to post them.
Now the idea is that I write. But I would appreciate followers and feedback.
IF you would like to follow, please do.
And if you can, get others to follow too.
I just want feedback to keep my in line.
And I also need a way to keep the blog as hidden as possible. Which makes no sense. I mean, it's on the Internet. But anyways, that's about it.
I'm not yet sure about the "content" of this blog/story. But I'll figure it out along the way.
Thank you for following me! (Figured now was a good time to Thank You.) And I hope you follow my Silent Blogs. :)
Just so you, it's a bit depressing. Warning you ahead of time.
Good night!

It is officially December!
You may think that it is officially the Next Month on the First Day.
You, my friends, are Wrong.
The month does not change 'til the second day. Which is Weird. I know it is. But such is the Way of Life.
Better get used to it now.
Anyways, my weird rambling aside, I figured I should update you on Stuff.
Like, what the heck have I been doing LAST month. Because it is officially Next Month, I can talk about Last Month.
The month of November, to be exact.

Well, surely you've heard of NaNoWriMo. And yes, I signed up.
And it was Certainly Fun.
While it Lasted.
I did not Get Far. If you know what I mean.
I didn't even get half way through.
And I will tell you WHY. Because I feel the need to vent about how Unfair Life can Be.
So, I'm committed to this. Especially at the Beginning. I'm all excited. I can finally finish the Project. The one that I came up with Two Years Ago.
Well, La Di Da. I'm writing. Writing. Writing. For a few days. Before IT happens.
Before my teachers decide that this is the month to:
1. Give us tests every week (meaning at least two or tests a week, for the subjects: Math, Science and Social Studies)
2. Give us Really Important Projects (worth a lot, so don't procrastinate!)
3. Give us homework like we don't have anything better to do (We're People too! We have Lives!)

You see, Tests, I can handle. I don't get nervous like other people do. There's no point. I never get less than a B. An lately, I haven't gotten less than an A. So, whatever. Tests are okay for me.
Projects and Homework is where I get Annoyed. Really Annoyed. Be Creative! Work Hard! Don't Procrastinate!
Ha! As if! Nobody even thinks about the project until the week of or before it's due. That's the point with Honors students. Can you still get an A, if you start the Day Before. So what if you stay up 'til Two in the Morning? Can you still get up at six or seven and come to school? Can you still get all your homework in?
That's the Point! The sign of Genius. I can still get an A if I start the Day Before!
I don't wait that long, in case you're wondering. I just do Most of it the Day Before.
But do you realize how much Time it all takes up? So there went my Writing Time.

I still haven't had the chance to Write. I've got two Projects due next Friday.
I also have a Field Trip tomorrow. Aquarium of the Pacific! Yay, Fishes!
And then there's the Weekend. Which I hope will be relaxing. But I'm not getting my Hopes up.
I also got Last Sacrifice (shriek!) coming out next Tuesday. As you can see, I am Very Excited!
And I am getting it The Day it Comes Out. The Day. No Exceptions. Whatsoever.

I hear Some Stuff. Not sure What it is. But yay. I've read the first Chapter of Last Sacrifice. And it was Cool. Really Cool. So now I'm about 1,000x more excited than I was Before.

I think that's all. I tell you about books and such this weekend. Got some Research to do. Because apparently Science Teachers think Calcium is Super Interesting, along with Anything Else that is on the periodic table.
Don't know how they figure that.

Good night!
-Wolfie

PS: Apparently I forgot about the title of this Post. So I'm mentioning the Holidays. *Mention!* Holidays!
Also, I got this Thing. It is a very Some Thing. If you know what I mean.
I'll tell you more about this Thing, Later.
Good night for sure this time. :)

So, it's December 1st. The first day of the last month. Get it?
It's so amazing that the year is almost over. It went by so fast.
This is just a quick post. My sister's been bugging me to play with her. I'm not looking forward to it. Just because I'm older and no longer want to play.
But whatever. I'll live.
So, until next time. Hopefully, tomorrow.
Later!

This is a line in Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind. Apparently, it was big in the 90s. Or something. I wouldn't actually remember.
So, it's the third day of November.
Those glasses are AWESOME! :)
Hurray!
Gosh, the year is almost over. Which means two awesome holidays are on the way.
Thanksgiving and Christmas. And for my family, that means getting together and eating 3x as much food as we normally do.
So, yes it is awesome. Love food. It is enjoyable and totally essential to living.
Wait, not that food.

Or that food.

YES! :D

Also, got Thursday and Friday off of school for Veterans Day. Which is cool. Three day school week.
I discovered NaNoWriMo two days ago, while reading AchingHope's blog. So thank you for that! I'm super excited about it. I'm thinking of finishing a project I started. I have some segments for it, so I have to piece it together. And fill it in. And it'll be fun. Hard work, but fun. :D
So, I'm off. Wish me luck!
See ya!

Hey, world! I'm posting again. It's a miracle! :)
This is just a real quick post.
I've been watching Disney and Disney Pixar movies.
Today I am watching Lady and the Tramp. :)
So far, I've seen Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea, Mulan 2, Mulan, Pocahontas, Pocahontas 2, and Lilo and Stitch.
It's been awesome. I love Disney. :D
So, post again later. I hope. ;)

Hey! It's kinda late. Not really, but according to my parents, it is. I just wanted to let you know that I am alive. I don't know why. I guess if I was dead, you wouldn't know, would you? But I can tell you if I'm still alive. I guess Arlee Bird from Tossing It Out would tell you if I happened to die. Maybe not. I wouldn't really know. Would you tell someone if someone you knew died? I'm anonymous anyways. At least, I hope I am. For various reasons. Not really sure what they are though. So, moving away from the topic of life and death.

I just finished reading My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares. (Which is actually about life and death. :/ )
She's the author of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Just in case you needed to know.
But anyways, the book was awesome. Supposedly, it's gonna be part of a trilogy. But I need to look into that some more. I really hope it is, though. The ending was a total cliffhanger. And I hate hanging.

Also letting you know that I read The Awakening, Vampire Diaries #1 by L.J. Smith. I have to say that I loved her Dark Visions trilogy. But VD was totally disappointing. Annoyed me almost as much as Twilight did. And that's bad.
Really bad. I knew there was a reason I didn't wanna read it. But I went ahead anyways. I'm such a weirdo.

Okay, so I've started writing again. Yay!

Not really any one thing. More like, I'm writing whatever ideas pop into my head. It's a temporary thing until my teachers decide to give less projects. (Translation: Not anytime soon. :/ )

(Awesome handwriting! And it took me three minutes to make that arrow)
\/
All these ideas are floating around in my head. And I have vague outlines for all of them.
Thing about me and writing is that I hate structure. But I can't live without outlines. Don't ask. Cause my answer is: I'm weird. But, it's the way I am.
So, I do vague outlines. Really vague. To the point where I almost have no idea.
But I do. And I follow it pretty well.
If I have the time.
Which is the main problem here.

Where the heck am I gonna get time? I am much too young to be worrying about how much time I have in each and every day! But I still do. So, there ya go. That's life for you.
But, whatever. Life if life.

Yesterday was history, tomorrow's a mystery.
Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.
:)
If you have noticed, I have added pictures to my post. Yay!
Colorful!

Which is weird. I much rather prefer darkness.

Though I admit that picture creeps me out.
So, on that note:
Today is coming to a close.
Hope I'll see you tomorrow on the What the Heck is This Show Called? Show!
*fake, enthusiastic smile*
*meaningful glance from the audience*

Title taken from: Animal by Neon Trees. :)
It's very popular right now. But I've known about it since last year. :D
So, I knew it before it was popular and such.
And it's really cool.
Really. Cool.
A few days ago, I made a song list. Mostly alternative, rock. There's some country and some pop. I got an electronic song, too. Only one, though.
I also got a few songs from books (If I Stay by Gayle Forman) and authors (Rachel Caine).
And it is 100+ songs long.
So many songs. So. Many.
I haven't even listened to all of them yet. I'm maybe 1/2 way through it?
Maybe.

On to another subject:
I thought you should know that I'm trying to work on some book cover contest. It's due tomorrow. And I haven't started. But I really want that prize. $10 Barnes and Noble gift card.
Really cool. :)
The book I chose was If I Stay by Gayle Forman. I have a few ideas on what to do. But I'm not quite sure how I should do it. Make sense?
I want some broken glass to represent the car crash. And the parts falling off could have scenes from the book. I'm also thinking a dark figure. And snow. Some trees?
It looks really cool in my head. But I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work on paper.
Doesn't help that I am not such a great drawer-er.
But I'm trying.
For that $10 gift card.
And I'm finally getting somewhere! I am going to scan it when I'm done. I'll post it tomorrow. :)
I'm so excited!!!!!
So, goodbye for now. I'll be posting tomorrow.
Wish me luck! :)

So don't forget to do that wishing thing-y. You know? At 10:10 AM or PM. I just missed AM by about ten minutes. So there you go. ;)
My weekend was okay-ish.
On Friday I invited a bunch of friends over to watch Beauty and The Beast (which is my all-time favorite movie, for those of you who don't know.) And it was awesome. We ate junk food and laughed. Perfect day.
Of course, I knew I'd be in trouble for something afterwards. And I was. But I'm trying to forget that. It was fun while it lasted. I gotta be thankful it happened at all. :)
So, yesterday I went over to my cousin's house. We watched The Little Rascals, which I had never seen before. Turns out it's HER favorite movie. And I had to admit it was pretty cool. :D
Also, I finished By the Time You Read This, I'll Be Dead by Julie Anne Peters.
And I have no idea how it ends. I still can't figure out if she really does kill herself. But I like to think that Santana was able to reach out to her. That she accepts that not everybody sucks and some people can be nice. I'll admit that her life had sucked. And her parents didn't really do much to help her out. I mean, of course they did. But they didn't seem to be able to fully understand. I have to point out that this is usually the case in books like this. The adults never really seem to understand. But that could also be because the person didn't want to adults to understand. It's almost like they don't explain because they need a reason to be mad at the adults in their life. Like they need an excuse to kill themselves. "You weren't there for me."
That makes sense, rite?
But what do I really know? I have never been bullied, especially not in the way Daelyn was. I've seen kids being called names. But they never seemed to take it the way Daelyn did. Nobody ever tried to kill themselves at age 10.
Of course, not as far as I knew. I grew up pretty sheltered. Which is another reason why I read. There's always some truth in the books I read, even if it is about vampires or werewolves. The way people act and react? Authors try to make the most unrealistic stories, realistic. So, yeah, you can learn a lot about people from reading fantasy, at least, I've always thought so.
But then you go to realistic fiction. And that's a lot more realistic. I mean, duh. It's in the name. And that's why I love that genre. It's REAL. Or, at least, close enough.
So, yeah. Also, I want to see It's Kinda of A Funny Story. I read the book back in April and it was AWESOME! So, I'm excited about the movie. I might see it today with my friend. :D
My dad feels bad for me because my sister and mom went to Disneyland today. And I have tomorrow off, but we won't be able to do anything. So he'e making up for it. I just hope he doesn't ask why IKoaFS is rated PG-13.... :/
And that may or may not tell you how old I am. Take that whichever way you wish. ;)
So, I'm off! Later, gator! (-Now I'm a gator?-Yes! Deal with it!-)

Weird title, right?
I agree.
Anyways, there is a reason for this insane laughter that I have to urge to do, but seeing as my sister is in the room with me, I do not wish to scare her.
But I'll explain WHY I want to laugh so insanely.
First of all, OMIGOSH! BEAUTY AND THE BEAST! Comes out in 7 days!!!!! :D
So, I'm exciting about that.
No Ordinary Family premieres today at 8 on ABC 7. It won't be FlashForward, but it'll be good enough for now. Until they bring FlashForward back. Which they will because it was so awesome. And if they don't..... Well, they better. >: - >
(I do not know what that is supposed to look like, by the way.)
I also have a project due in one week. :/ But I'm getting it done. Kind of. You know me. :D
I also have a BIG project due the 14th (Reading To Be A Slave). But I made an agreement with my parents. See, I want to invite some friends over next Friday (Oct. 8) so that we could all watch Beauty and the Beast together. My parents said that if I finish this major project before the 8th, I'll be over to invite them over. So, I've read Chapter 1, almost done with Chapter 2. I did 13 out of 25 vocab words. I call that progress considering I did this in almost 2 days. :)
So, I'm doing good. Right now I'm taking a little bit of a break to babysit my sister. So, I'll be back tomorrow. Because of my sudden hunger, No Ordinary Family, and this map I have to finish.
(Today's philosophical (?) rant....)
Also, I am reading a book about a suicidal girl. How nice, right? I've read about one or two other books about suicide. And they really scare me, but I gotta admit, they're pretty good.
I mean, it's scary to see how these people just give up so easily. Really scary. Yet so intriguing. I have to admit that I love the parts about the family's reaction. Because that's the proof that they were wrong when they thought no one loved them and life wasn't worth living.
It really is. It's so worth it.
You live through the pain and the stress.
You live through the hatred and unfairness.
And of course it's hard.
You live through it so that when something good happens, it seems like a miracle. Because it is.
The day you notice that there are so many, many people who love you.
The day you realize that life is a wonderful gift.
That you are so lucky and gifted.

And I guess there are people who can't handle the pain or the stress. That's why there are so many suicides every year.
But they are so wrong.
Maybe I'm a lot more religious than I think I am.
Or maybe I've just read so many books about what life is all about....
Maybe that's it.
I'm all about my books. About what they meant to me.
They aren't just words.
They MEAN something to me.
Marley and Me. That is my all-time favorite book. Because it's so real. The ups and downs of life.
It's why I love Sarah Dessen and Jodi Picoult and Nicholas Sparks and Laurie Halse Anderson so much.
It's all so real. It's life.
Life happens.
Unless, of course, you're dead.
Then it wouldn't really matter, anyway, right?
And I guess that's the sad part.
If you're dead, you can't enjoy life.
It's worth living.
If it's not, then it will be.
You just gotta be patient.

A song by Rascal Flatts and currently one of my favorites.
As it turns out, what hurts the most was not being so close, havin' so much to say, and watchin' you walk away.
What hurts the most is knowing that you have not posted in 24 days.
That's what hurts. Especially if blogging was just a given.
And I won't make excuses. But I will tell you why I haven't been blogging.

SCHOOL!

You know I'm back to school when I'm still up at 10:30 working on a project. Not that it really bugs me. I could be working on a project, or laying in bed waiting to fall asleep. At least, after I finish, I'll be so tired from thinking that I'll just fall asleep.
So, I'm getting through. Like I always do. Which means A's. And A's. And A's. So far, at least. Later on I might get a B. Maybe a C in science. But I'll have so many A's that it won't matter. I will get straight A's on my report card. "With God as my witness" I will. (By the way, that's a line from I Caught Myself by Paramore)
So, remember those book reviews I was talking about? It might take me a lot longer to finish those up.
Also, I'm trying to get back into my writing. I've gotten so many ideas recently. It makes me want to get back to writing. So, I'll start after I publish this post.

Recently, I've read:
Hunger (Gone #2) by Michael Grant
Lies (Gone #3) by Michael Grant
Spells (Wings #2) by Aprilynne Pike
Living on Impulse by Cara Haycak
A Curse Dark As Gold by Elizabeth C. Bunce (finished ten minutes ago)

And I am currently reading nothing. (*gasp!*) I need to go to the library.

And I am currently obsessing about:

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!!!! It's being re-released on October 5!!!!! Which is my half-birthday!!!! :D (Whenever I say that people look at me funny. Are you looking at the screen funny? Cause I'm mostly kidding. But I am getting Beauty and the Beast the day it comes out. Just you see.)

AVATAR: THE LEGEND OF KORRA!!!!!
Which does not come out until November 2011. But that doesn't mean I can't obsess about it. Basically, it's a spin-off series of Avatar: The Last Airbender. And you all know how much I love that. So, yes I'm excited. unfortunately, everybody is dead because TLOK takes place 70-75 years after TLA. So, the new avatar is a waterbender named Korra. She is the reincarnation of Aang. Everybody else is dead. Unless everybody reincarnates. But that would be kind of hard to tell. Anyways, guess what! Aang and Katara have a kid!!!! *SHRIEK!* I laughed when I found out. All those Zutara (Zuko and Katara) fans will be disappointed. But they had a son named Tenzin. And he's a master airbender. So, Korra is gonna be learning airbending from him. Cool, right? :D

Anyways, yesterday there was a birthday party for my little cousin. Speaking of, Steph's quinceanera was AWESOME! Love being her cousin. :D
But I went to another cousin's birthday party. On the other side of the family. She turned 4 and she's so cute!
So, we got to play some lazer tag. And it was really fun. I sucked, and had no idea what I was doing, but it was still fun. :D

I figured I would start my long list of book reviews with Mockingjay.
Why?
Because it's the last book in the Hunger Games trilogy. You won't have to wait months for any of the books to come out, because they're all out.
Hurray!
But still very sad. For all those Hunger Games fans. It was an amazing series.
Sometimes I wish it didn't end.
But it did.
And no way to stop that from happening.
By the way, this may or may not contain spoilers. So, if you haven't read Catching Fire, don't read this review.
But if you don't plan on reading it anyway, I guess it doesn't matter, right?

So, here you go:

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.
Hardcover, 398 pages.
Last book in the Hunger Games trilogy.

Summary:

My name is Katniss Everdeen. Why am I not dead? I should be dead.

Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.

It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans -- except Katniss.

The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss's willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels' Mockingjay -- no matter what the personal cost.

Story: So, it takes place a few weeks after the end of Catching Fire. And if you've read it, you know that it ended with a really BIG cliffhanger. With Gale saying:
"There is no District 12."
:o
Oooooo.... scary, right?
It was one of the best/ worst cliffhangers ever, if you know what I mean.
So, District 12 has been destroyed. And in the beginning of Mockingjay, Katniss is at District 12. To see what had happened to it.
And it's completely destroyed, just like Gale said. Everything if burned down, except for the Victor's Village. About 90% of the people from 12 are dead. The rest were relocated to District 13. Which had survived for 75 years without aid from the Capitol. Not many knew it even existed. Until now, of course.
So, now comes the main part of the story. The reason they saved Katniss from the arena in Catching Fire.
They want her to be the Mockingjay.
To be the face of the Revolution.
Ooooo.....

Characters: So, Mockingjay is told from Katniss's point of view. Which is good, because I would've thought something was up if it was from Gale's or Peeta's or suddenly her mother's. That would have been weird. And a definite warning sign, in my opinion.
Anyways, that love triangle is still going on. Yay! Who doesn't love a good love triangle? :)
Will Katniss choose Gale? Will she choose Peeta? Or will she choose neither? *Gasp!*
Of course, I know. I've known all along. But I won't tell you. :P
So, Katniss Everdeen is back. And Gale Hawthorne. And Peeta Mellark. And Finnick Odair. And even Johanna Mason. And of course, you have Prim and her mother. You have Haymitch Abernathy. And Plutarch Heavensbee. And President Snow.
Lots of people are back. And lots of new people are introduced.
And I won't lie to you.
A lot of them die.
But, of course, I won't tell you who. :P

My Thoughts:
I loved The Hunger Games. Catching Fire was just as good, if not better.
And Mockingjay went beyond any expectations I had.
And I had very high expectations.
And overall? I loved the series. I loved the idea and the way Suzanne Collins carried it out.
But this is just about Mockingjay.
So, I loved it. It has to be my favorite book in the entire series. Because it was amazing. And the way it ended was totally unexpected.
Unless, of course, you expected it from the beginning. ;)
It was written is amazing detail. I could see everything happening. Which, with books, is a very good thing.
It was dramatic. There was a ton of action. Too many deaths to count. And every time, I almost cried. I'm still trying to figure out how I didn't. I think it was all too shocking. All too unexpected. All too GOOD. I couldn't put it down.
I took me a total of about 6 hours to read it. Spread out throughout the course of two days. Last Thursday and Friday.
So, yes I loved this book. I think it was the perfect sequel to Catching Fire. And an amazing way to end a series.
And I loved it. It had the Perfect Mix: action, suspense, romance, drama, and death.
The death part might sound a little bit harsh, but you have to admit that it is an essential element when writing a book.
It makes the story more interesting. And if you kill a character or two, and people cry, it shows how well you created that character. Pretty good, huh?
So I really recommend this series. To anybody. Young or old or somewhere in the middle.
And it's good for both boys and girls.
It's got everything, and therefore it's for everyone.
Although I would say, if you're under 12, don't read it.
One, you might not fully understand or appreciate it.
Two, it's graphic. Even if it is a book.
So, I hope you take my advice and read the book. I know what I'm talking about 90% of the time.
And FYI, I am right 99.9%. It's a gift.

Special message to Stephanie:
ADRIAN IS NOT GOING TO DIE!

Based on the song Ordinary Day by Vanessa Carlton.
Aren't I so clever? :D
Speaking of clever, check this out:
SHIVER in anticipation.
LINGER for more.
Waiting FOREVER.

Shiver is a book by Maggie Stiefvater.
Linger is the sequel.
Forever is the last book in the trilogy, coming out next July.

Now do you get it? :D

Anyways, I finished Hunger. It was good. :)
So, now I'm on Lies. The third book in the Gone series.
Next is Plague.
Don't know if there's anything after that. :/

Anyways, still polishing up some reviews.
Will be posting a few. Hopefully tomorrow.
I've been helping my mom at her work.
She's a kindergarten teacher. I helped her make packets and sort stuff and things like that.
It is very tiring.
Not being a teacher. Not in this lifetime.
Or any other lifetime. :/

Anyways, got to go.
Have a good rest of the day.

Currently reading:
Hunger (Gone, 2) by Michael Grant

As you may or may not have noticed, I'm reading, starting, ending, many series.
I hate that I always choose the book series that haven't quite ended yet.
Like, The Hunger Games.
I love it.
But I had to wait months for Catching Fire.
And months for Mockingjay.
Although I must say that the waiting made me that much more excited....
So, I guess it's not too bad...
I mean I love series, but sometimes I don't like them so much.
Sometimes I just want to know how it ends.
But if I love the books enough, I never want it to end.
You know what I mean?

Anyways, all these series mean that my books-to-read list is very long.
On Goodreads, it's about a thousand books.
I'm slowly working my way through it and taking off the books that I added but don't actually WANT to read.
So, every week I want to do a post on a book (or a few books...) that I am waiting for.
And you can tell me what books YOU'RE waiting for.
Also, I'll be posting some reviews for the books listed soon.
Hopefully.
Anyways, until then,
Happy Reading! (And Writing!)

I don't know why I'm making such a big deal out of this.
But I'm going to be gone for the weekend.
Will be back on Monday.
So, good bye for now.
But real quick.
Guess what.

I GOT MOCKINGJAY!!!!!

And I'm about half way through.

It is AMAZING!
Will tell you more when I get back.
Good bye! (For now...)

I ALMOST got Mockingjay today. My parents took us to West Coast Plaza. There was a Borders across the street.
We all thought that it was IN the mall. Apparently not.
So, we just left.
Apparently they'll take me to the Borders here.
By the way, I'm spending every last penny to get this book.
That's how much I want it. :)

So I went to the mall today for some sale. We walked passed Borders and guess what I saw.
MOCKINGJAY!!!!!

Do you know how torturous that was? I almost DIED!!!

Because, guess what.

I CAN'T GET IT!!!!!

Of course, I expected that. But still. It hurt. A lot. :'(

So, I have to wait. Hopefully not until Christmas.
My dad gets coupons from Target and Borders. Hopefully he'll get one soon...

I NEED MOCKINGJAY!!!

And I am not kidding.... :/

I wish my parents could just buy it for me... But they don't buy me books. According to them, I could just get them for free at the library. But I can't underline or bookmark or highlight library books. Plus, I love rereading some parts over and over and over and over again. And that would be very inconvenient if I didn't own it. Because then I'd have to go to the library every time that happened. Why can't they realize that I am just saving them time and gas money?
Anyways, not the point. The point was that I NEED MOCKINGJAY!!!!!

But I've been waiting for months. It's out.
I just need to wait a few more weeks....
It'll be hard...
But I've done it before...
And it'll be worth it....
:)

Happy reading.
Hope YOU can get the books you want.

This is one of my favorite TV shows of all time. :D
It aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon. Now, you can watch it Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 on Nicktoons. The best part is that it has "extras". :) Little tidbits of information on the series: recaps, behind-the-scenes, and the occasional humorous commentary.
Avatar is an animated television series created and produced by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. It's set "in an Asian-influenced world of Chinese martial arts and elemental manipulation."" The show blended "the styles of anime and US domestic cartoons."

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF AVATAR (No... *sigh*... not Pandora...)

Background:
In a world where people can manipulate one of the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, and Air), the Avatar is the one who can control all four elements. He/she is also responsible for keeping balance between the four nations: Water Tribes (North and South), Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. The Avatar is born into the next element in the cycle. He/she learns their natural element first, and then learns them in order. For example, Avatar Roku was from the Fire Nation, so he was a firebender. When he turned 16, the Fire Sages told him that he was the next Avatar. So, he master Fire, Air, Water and Earth. In that order.
100 years ago, Fire Lord Sozin used the power of a comet, later renamed Sozin's comet, to get rid of the Air Nomads, knowing that the next Avatar would be an airbender, starting the war.
Present day... (Northern Water Tribe)
Katara and her brother Sokka are fishing. Sokka annoys Katara. Not a big deal, right?
Well, she's a waterbender and their in the water. She's not good or anything (yet...), but she's so frustrated that she causes a giant wave. The ice around the small boat crushes it and Katara and Sokka jump off. They notice a strange blue light coming from underneath the ocean. An iceberg emerges and Katara sees a person in it. She runs toward it and uses Sokka's weapon (forgot what it was...) to break open the iceberg.
Out of the iceberg comes... Aang and Appa!!!
Hurray!
However, the Fire Nation is nearing victory in the war... Did all the aribenders disappear? Who is the Avatar? Is he still around?
And will he save the world?

But we're only getting started....
So to find out how it ends... YOU GOTTA WATCH THE TV SERIES!!!!!
It's really cool and interesting and amusing and entertaining.... :)
So, be a smart little duck and go watch AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER!!!!!

This is a song by JoJo, just so you know.
Anyways, I don't have time to write a real post today. Suck, right?
Well, my internet was down this morning. And by the time it started working again, my parents decided to take me and my sister to Sizzler's. So, no post.
Then we went to the mall and I already got a few shirts for school. Which kind of scares me, so I'm trying not to think too much about it...
Anyways, I just came back. So this is my lame excuse for a post.
But it proves that I posted today. Even when the internet was down.
So, hurray for me!
Good night everybody.

With five days left until the release of Mockingjay, I decided to do a post on The Hunger Games.
I must say that I am a HUGE fan. I thought The Hunger Games was absolutely AMAZING!
Catching Fire was even BETTER!!!
So, I am eagerly awaiting the release of Mockingjay...

Unfortunately, though, I probably won't be reading it until December. I'm out of money right now and I want to buy Mockingjay... So, I'll just be waiting until after Christmas. I'll have some money to spend on books, then. :)

So, onto The Hunger Games...
THE BOOK

History:
Seventy-four years ago, District 13 rebelled against the Capitol. District 13 was destroyed. As a punishment to the rest of Panem (and as a reassurance so as to prevent this from happening again), the Capitol created the Hunger Games. Every year, one boy and one girl from each District between the ages of twelve and eighteen will compete in the Hunger Games. This makes a total of 24 tributes.
Every 25 years is the Quarter Quell, a special edition of the Hunger Games. These Quarter Quells mark the anniversary of the Capitol’s victory over District 12 and special celebrations are held. The Gamemakers make that year’s Hunger Games unique, including twists that make them more exciting or dangerous. There is a small box that contains the instructions for each Quarter Quell. The current President with take out the card that corresponds with that Quarter Quell and reads it on live television, announcing the theme of that year’s Quell.
25th Hunger Games: Instead of randomly selecting people in the Reaping, the tributes were voted into the Hunger Games by the people of their own district.
50th Hunger Games: Instead of the usual two tributes, four tributes were chosen from each district. This meant twice as many people in the arena and that made it twice as harsh.

Setting:
North America had been plagued with several devastating disasters; natural disasters that destroyed and much of its land. Panem is the nation that rose of out the ruins of what had previously been North America. At its center is the Capitol, surrounded by thirteen other, poorer, districts. The farther away the district is from the Capitol, the poorer it is, with District 12 among the poorest and Districts 1, 2, and 4 among the richest. Each district varies in size and population. District 12 has a population of about 8,000. Other districts, like District 11, are huge, stretching on for miles and miles with enormous populations.

Plot: (Summary)
In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

THE CHARACTERS
Katniss Everdeen: Katniss is strong. She's had to struggle to survive. Her father died in a mining accident. Her mother was a healer, of sorts, who fell apart after her husband died. She learned how to hunt so that she could feed her family, even though hunting was illegal. Her worst nightmares come to life when her sister, Prim, is chosen in the reaping. Katniss volunteers to take her place. So, I really like Katniss. I admire her strength and determination. She isn't about to sit down and watch her life being played for her. Unlike some other characters...
Gale Hawthorne: He's been Katniss's best friend since their fathers both died in the same mining accident. He goes hunting with Katniss every Sunday and calls her Catnip.
Peeta Mellark: He is the second tribute from District 12. Her fell in love with Katniss the first of school. When he and Katniss are sent to the Capitol to prepare for the Games, he tells Panem that he is in love with her during an interview. This is what really kicks off the Games and the book, in my opinion.
Rue: She is the female tribute of District 11. And she plays a big part in The Hunger Games trilogy, though her appearance is brief. If she had not been in the Hunger Games, there would be no Catching Fire. And I'm very curious to see what happens in Mockingjay. I'm willing to bet that if she had not appeared in the series, none of that would have happened.

Primrose Everdeen: She is Katniss's younger sister. Prim was originally chosen in the reaping, but her sister took her place to save her.

Haymitch Abernathy: He was the male tribute and victor in the 50th Hunger Games. The second Quarter Quell. He is the second of only two victors that came from District 12. Because of this, he is Katniss and Peeta's mentor. He proves to be quite capable of keeping the two alive.

Effie Trinket: She is the escort for District 12 and does everything from drawing the names at the reaping, to escorting the tributes to the Capitol. Over time, she starts getting attached to Peeta and Katniss.

Cinna: He is Katniss's stylist. He is responsible for "The Girl Who Was on Fire", Katniss's nickname after he designed an outfit that was supposed to set on fire.

So, I really loved The Hunger Games. It was more than the extremely violent and heartless book that it appears to be at times. It's much more than winning the Hunger Games, or survival. It's about something much bigger. It's about the choice we make. And why we make them.
Katniss choose to take her sisters place. Why? Because she wanted to save Prim. And she would do that at all costs.
So, if you haven't read The Hunger Games, you should. It was amazing.
-Wolfie
(Just so you know, some of the information here was from a school project I did on The Hunger Games, mostly the HISTORY and SETTING sections.)

Rhythm of Love by Plain White T's.
I love this song. It is currently my favorite song. :D
As it so happens, I first heard this song at the OC Fair when I went with my cousin last Thursday. We went on the ride... um... Evolution. That's the one. Anyways, while we were waiting, they were playing music. We had really liked it and tried to remember some of the lines so that we could find it later.
Well, we get off the ride and I'm still humming and I have this one line stuck in my head. Blah blah blah.... A while later I realize that the line has disappeared from my mind. So, I ask my cousin. Nothing. We can't remember it anymore. She remembers something about "love" and I remember something about "tonight". That does not help us at all. I search them on Google, as many variations as I can think of. Google leads me to the song If Only Tonight We Could Sleep by The Cure. And I know for a fact that that was not the song I was looking for.
So I wait patiently for a few days. It slips out of my mind.
Then yesterday, my house phone is ringing. And ringing. And ringing.
You see, we usually don't answer the house phone anymore. Half the time it's some person looking for Maria, but there is no Maria living here. So, there you go.
So, we ignore the ringing as best we can.
I'm on Facebook and my cousin starts talking to me on that chat thing. She's like, "Hey, you wanna go to the park?"
So, I ask my parents and they're like "Okay."
So, blah blah blah, we talk about the park.
Then before she signs out she's like, "Oh. Yeah. I found the song."
And I'm like "REALLY?!?!?!?!"
So, I'm all excited as I wait for her to tell me what it is.
Rhythm of Love by Plain White T's.
So I'm like "What? How'd you find it?"
She says that she was watching MTV or something. You know, those music video count down things? And then they start playing this song and she's thinking, "This sound familiar." And then it hits her. IT'S THE SONG FROM THE FAIR!!!!!
And then she's all like, I tried to call you but your cell phone kept going to voice mail and nobody answered your house phone.
And I'm thinking, "SHOOT! I could've known earlier...."
So she signs out and I check the song on YouTube.
And I almost scream. SHE FOUND IT!!!
So, I've been listening to the song over and over as I write this. The happiness has stuck with me. THANK YOU EMILY!
Even though you'll probably never read this... THANK YOU!
She has no idea how happy I am now that our mystery song is no longer a mystery... :D
So here are the lyrics:

My head is stuck in the clouds
She begs me to come down
Says "Boy quit foolin' around"
I told her "I love the view from up here
The warm sun and wind in my ear
We'll watch the world from above
As it turns to the rhythm of love
"We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun you're mine all mine
Play the Music low and sway to the rhythm of love
My heart beats like a drum
A guitar string to the strum
A beautiful song to be sung
She's got blue eyes deep like the sea
That roll back when she's laughing at me
She rises up like the tide
The moment her lips meet mine
We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun you're mine all mine
Play the Music low and sway to the rhythm of love
When the moon is low
We can dance in slow motion
And all your tears will subside
All your tears will dry
And long after I've gone
You'll still be humming along
And I will keep you in my mind
The way you make love so fine
We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun you're mine all mine
Play the music low and sway to the rhythm of love

You can go ahead and listen to it HERE or wait until I have a play list set up...

*Sigh...*
This is my second time posting this... Stupid phone... The first time I tried posting this, I pressed 'ok' and the screen froze. Slide the phone shut and the screen was a yellow orange and red confusion. Is that a sign?
I'm still using my phone...
Anyways, I just wanted to write a few quick things...
1. Welcome whatever new followers have come across my little blog. If you came from my Reader Person blog, thank you for deciding to follow my Writer Person blog. :)

2. If you haven't already, I'd really appreciate it if you read my last post. Sorry I couldn't leave a link... like I said, I'm using my phone...

3. I know I didn't post yesterday... but that will not stop me from continuing on until Saturday... :D

4. I've been watching Invader Zim for the past few days... I will tell you more about that tomorrow, when I have time. :) ZEEEEEM!!!!!

5. I will be doing some posts on songs and books soon. Hopefully starting tomorrow. :)

And there was some other stuff I mentioned the first time I wrote this... Oh!
Some more scenes/visions will be written. I'll be making another page for it. If you can find out what the word is for ten kids born at the same time (like: twin=2; tripulet=3; quintuplets=5; etc.) I'd really like to know...
Well...

Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again.

Yes! My second post in a row!!!!! How cool is that? :D
Gosh, who knew a girl could be so happy because of that! Ha!

I'm good now... I've calmed down...

HA! AS IF!!!

Sorry about that. Gosh. Anyways...
Today, we are NOT talking about tooth paste... Nope. I love tooth paste as much as the next person, but that is not what I'm talking about.
Today I am going to introduce you to this idea... which I've technically already introduced you to. You remember that one scene I wrote? About the elevator? No?
CLICK THE LINK

Remember now?
Okay. Good. Well, that was the first of ten stories. Of ten visions.

Here's the story: (literally)

There are ten kids. They are, well, whatever the word is for ten kids born at the same time (Please tell me if you know.) But they don't know that. They all live in the same state, the same city. But they hardly know that the others exist.
But then one day, their older sister comes. And she comes with a message. A truth. A lie. A prophecy. And a warning.
They are not from this world. They came from a distant planet in another universe. They were sent to Earth. But why? What happened to their planet? And why should they go back? What can they possibly do to save a dying planet?

Okay, I don't know about you, but that sounds interesting, right?
I will admit that this wasn't MY idea. I helped with it, but this idea came from a phone conversation I had with my friend. (The same friend who wrote VWRP with me. Stephus's POV.) I don't remember how it went, but by the time we hung up, this was born.
I'm not sure what's going on with us. She's.. we're not exactly fighting... but... I don't know. Just, somethings not right...
So, I'm pursuing the idea on my own. Mostly for fun. But if it goes somewhere... I won't leave her out...

But that's not the point of this post. The point was to introduce you (officially) to this idea.
But there's more...
YOU NEED TO KNOW THE CHARACTERS!!!
So, here they are:
TEN: (In order)
Ellianna (Ellie)
Kayla (K or Kay)
Alexandra (Alex)
Irene
Jack
Laila
Melanie (Mel)
Jordin
Claire
Brayden

Their older sister is: BEATRICE

The elevator vision was seen by Kayla.

Laila and Jack are twins.

Jordin and Claire are twins. Just so you know, Jordin is a girl.

The whole twins thing is somewhat confusing at first, considering that they're all born at the same time anyway. But the thing is, they were born at the same time on THEIR planet. When they were sent to Earth, it was in spirit. So, they were born AGAIN in human form. And something another caused Jack and Laila, and Jordin and Claire to be twins.

So, the ten kids don't know each other. Only as neighbors or classmates. The exceptions are the two sets of twins.

Got that?
I hope so. So, that's today's intro.
Join me tomorrow when I talk about:
DISH WATER

*made-up ad*

DO you need to wash your dishes? Well, guess what! You can't!
At least, not without your... DISH WATER!!!

As patient as I can be sometimes, I am not patient when it comes to books. I hate the waiting! I have a habit of reading books as soon as they come out. That is not good. You know why? Because that means that if there is a sequel, I have to wait for MONTHS and MONTHS and MONTHS. And it sucks. It really does.
For example, Vampire Academy. I read the first three books like that *snap*. But then I had to wait MONTHS for Blood Promise. It came out in August, I read it in August. But that meant that I had to wait 9 MONTHS! for Spirit Bound to come out. Now, I have to wait 4 MORE MONTHS for Last Sacrifice to come out.
And you know what makes waiting for this series worse? They are so dang good! All the suspense, the romance, the action. THE WAITING IT KILLING ME!!!
I absolutely love Richelle Mead. She totally opened the door to the world of vampires. Did I tell you the story? I think that was my Reader Person blog... ANYWAYS...
Back in November 2008, I read Twilight. Me, being me, I loved it. Blah blah blah.. Twilight Twilight Twilight... I finished the series January 2009. Whatever... Twilight is awesome... blah blah blah... But then I read Vampire Academy. And it was like: HOLY FISH CAKES!!! THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!
So, that mixed the over-exposure to Twilight... It made me realize how not good Twilight was. How boring it was compared to VA. Twilight is a love story. And not even a good one at that. Plus, what kind of vampire sparkles? I'm sorry but what kind of vampire sparkles? The stupid ones. Vampires were not meant to sparkle. They can burn in the sun, be uncomfortable in the sun, but they SHOULD NOT sparkle in the sun.
Plus, the characters. Bella is about the weakest character I have ever heard of. Edward is the most possessive and controlling.

Rose, on the other hand, can fight her own battles. She does NOT need a guy to complete her. The guy mess she's in just adds to the intrigue. But she's strong, she's fierce, and she is awesome.
Dimitri. The first guy that comes out in the series. He becomes her instructor, and later they fall in love. But then Frost Bite and Shadow Kiss happen. He is tall, dark, and handsome. Russian and one of the best Guardians around.

Adrian. The second guy in the loop. First introduced in Frost Bite. He's a royal Moroi, the Queen's great-nephew. Yes, he smokes. Yes, he drinks. But I will tell you right now why he does that: He is a spirit user. Being a spirit user comes with tons of side effects. The smoking and drinking numbs these side effects.
Neither guy pressures Rose the way Edward and Jacob pressure Bella. And neither one is as stupid as Edward or Jacob.

Anyways, that's today's vampire post. See you all tomorrow when we're discussing:
TOOTH PASTE

I'm With You is a song by Avril Lavigne.
I really like it. :)
As it so happens, I am using the computer today. YAY!
It seems so weird. My blogging has been on and off for a while, but I will try to change that. Somehow. Like I said, it helps that I can now post from my phone. :)
Sorry for any words that are spelled incorrectly. That would be the result of me being new to texting. I think this "unlimited" business really gets to teenagers' heads. Okay, my head.
Anyways, I have also started playing Pokemon again. I really hope you all know what that is. Well, I've been playing the video games since I was three. No kidding. As far as I can remember, playing Pokemon had never been a problem for me. I also knew how to play the card game. I remember collecting cards since I was about five. Unfortunately, I lost all of those cards. We moved the summer I was five. We lost a lot of stuff during that move. All of our stuff was outside when it started to rain. And rain. And rain. There was an overhang. Or whatever those roof-things are in the backyard. But water leaked through. Plus the garage was horribly dirty and dusty and horrible. So, everything in there got covered in dust, and dirt, and spider webs, and ugly bugs. :/
So we lost a lot of stuff in that move. But that is horribly off topic. Actually, I'm not even sure what my topic was in the first place. Isn't that nice?
Anyways, sorry for not posting in two days. I am making a little challenge for myself. I will post every day until next Saturday. You think I can do it?

I am testing out my new phone. No, not my Samsung Impression. It kept freezing. I was going to return it for another Samsung Impression. My uncle knows a lot about phones and stuff. He told me that I should just get another phone because his girlfriend had the Samsung Impression. She returned it twice before she decided to get a new phone. She got the Pantech Pursuit. Me? I got the Pantech Ease. Apparently, Pantech is a good brand.
So, here I am. Testing out my Pantech Pursuit that I have had for less than 24 hours.
I like that I can do blogs posts from here. I really think it will keep me blogging regularly. :)
So, hope you have a good writing day.
I will be posting again tomorrow.
Hopefully. :D

"I'm bored. Are you bored? Sometimes when I'm bored I babble on and on and on. I don't really have a point, I just keeping on talking and talking and talking. And sometimes I get REALLY annoying. So annoying that I annoy myself and EVERYONE is yelling at my to shut up, but I can't shut up because I am so bored. And if I don't talk, I'll have nothing else to do, so-"

SHUT UP!!!!

-Shuts up.-

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I leaned against the wall. Waiting for the elevator to come. Bored out of mind.
Suddenly, there was a loud SNAP!.
I quickly moved away from the wall. My eyes flickered back and forth to see where the noise came from.
I looked towards the elevator door, which was opening, but there was no elevator.
The sound of shrieking metal rung in my eyes. My eyes were wide open. I stared into the gaping mouth of the elevator shaft.
I heard crashing noises coming from above my head. Screams filled the air.
The ceiling caved in, the elevator crashing through the it. Debris and bodies were trapped underneath it. Everything was covered in dust and blood.
And I watched as it crashed through the floor. As it crashed through the next ten floors.
I blinked. I was leaning on the wall next to the elevator door. I backed away from it, waiting. A light blinked and I heard a Ding!.
The doors opened and people walked out of the elevator. I walked in.
And it took me down the the first floor.
We're hearing reports of an elevator crashing through fifteen stories of a building in downtown Los Angeles. Fred, what's it like over there?
"Well, it's dark inside. The elevator knocked out the electricity in the building. Firetrucks and paramedics are surrounding the building and authorities have blocked off this part of the street. Nobody knows why the elevator crashed. But right now, we're trying to figure out exactly how many people were injured, and if there are any deaths. Fred Alister, downtown Los Angeles. Back to you Kayli."
*Sorry about the news part. Haven't been watching the news lately. I will have to fix that later.*
So, I have decided.
After thinking about it for a little over a week, I have come to this conclusion:
I will not change.
Trust me, my parents have tried, and they haven't gotten far. Or anywhere, really.
I am me
and
me am I.
That means that I am disorganzied and sometimes implusive. I improvise and procrastinate. I never actually know what I am doing until I am doing it. That's just the way I am. Sorry if it's annoying. Trust me, sometimes I annoy myself.
Don't ask what that's like. It's a bit odd...
But that's how I am. I'm sorry if you don't like it, but I'm not sorry that that is how I am.
So now that that's over with....
I GOT A NEW PHONE!!!
Sorry, I am a teenager, after all. I have been wanting that phone for so long... IT'S AWESOME!!
It is a Samsung Impression.
AND I got unlimited texting and internet. HA!
Sorry.
That's just how freakishly happy I am.
Dang... technology...
Anyways, it's charging right now. I killed the battery and letting it fully charge. I suggest you do that whenever you get a new phone.
So I like that I can use Facebook very easily, plus the keyboard is easy to use, and it takes good pictures... not really sure about the zoom, though.
Oh well.
Anyways, besides that I have seen:
Toy Story 3 ---- Theaters (AWESOME!)
The Last Airbender ---- Theaters (Gr...)
Despicable Me (Awesome!)
Eclipse (Eh...)
Fantastic Mr. Fox. (Don't really know....)
I hope to do reviews on those later... along with the most recent books I read...
But I just explained how I am.
So I may or may not do it.
At this point, I don't know.
But who has to know everything all the time?
Have you ever heard of No Doubt or Maroon 5?
They both have a song called Sunday Morning. As it so happens, I am writing this post on Sunday Morning. So, there's my title explanation.
Anyways, I haven't gone back to my blog surfing yet. I'll get to it eventually, but I'm super tired right now. I woke up and my throat and chest was hurting! Horrible! Very horrible!
Of course, I could blame that on Knott's, but I went on Thursday. Yesterday, I ended up going to the Santa Monica pier. (If you haven't noticed, I live in California. The other option is that I'm in California on vacation... No. I live in SoCal.) So, I could blame it on the ocean breeze. I could also blame it on the fact that my sister was sick, and I accidentally drank from her cup, thinking it was mine.
As it so happened, her drink was a Pepsi. Mine was water. Do you know how surprising it is to drink Pepsi, when you're expecting water? I thought my water had gone bad! Like, omigosh, there's radioactive poison in my water!
Okay, maybe not that dramatic. But you try it, sometime. You'll see what I mean.
Anyways, back to the whole blog surfing. I haven't gotten to that yet. I will mention a certain blog, though. For a while, she posted once every few weeks. So rarely and far apart that I stopped checking her blog. I went back today. She's posting more regularly now. And her blog is really good. She only has four followers, but I say she deserves a bit more. Why don't you all pay her a visit?
What's So Random
Stephanie is random. Very random. But who says random isn't a good thing- BANANA!
Okay, anyways. Why don't you stop by and say hello.
And no, she did not ask me to talk about her blog. So stop by, say hi, follow her. We'll let her wonder where all these strangers came from. It'll be our little secret. ;)
As you may not may not know, right now Spain and Netherlands are fighting for 1st place. Me? I am going for Spain. It is the country of my origin. At least, as far as I know. So,
GO SPAIN!!!
Be on the lookout for
BLOG CHANGES
I may or may not be posting it later today.
This is not the Saturday Versus. This is just an extra post for today. Because, guess what.
Seriously, guess.
Really?
It's okay. I hate/suck at guessing, too.
Unless you guessed right.
Did you guess right?
What are the odds that you know exactly why I'm adding this extra post to my day?
Fine. I'll just tell you, then.
There is a contest.
Yep. A contest that I MUST tell you about.
It's a Dark Fantasty contest.
And you can win:
1. An ARC of CLOCKWORK ANGEL by Cassandra Clare!
2. An ARC of SAPPHIQUE (sequel to INCARCERON) by Catherine Fisher!
3. A signed copy of WHITE CAT by Holly Black!
4. An ARC of DRACULA IN LOVE by Karen Essex!
Aren't the covers amazing?
They are, aren't they?
So, now that I've told you about the contest. I have to say:
I love Holly Black.
I love Cassandra Clare.
Tithe and Ironside were amazing. Valiant was also REALLY good.
City of Bones, City of Ashes, and City of Glass (Mortal Instruments) were awesome.
Roiben was cool. He's the only faerie I have ever liked. Kaye is cool. She doesn't annoy me too much. ;)
Jace is funny. Simon is cool. Clary is Clary. Luke is a werewolf.
Surely I've told you how much I love vampires. And werewolves. And faeries. And fallen angels. Not so much demons, but they make the story interesting.
I've been wanting to read White Cat, just because it's by Holly Black.
Clockwork Angel is a prequel to the Mortal Instruments series. So, it's something like:
-The Infernal Devices (ID)
Clockwork Angel
Clockwork Princess
Clockwork Prince
-The Mortal Instruments
City of Bones
City of Ashes
City of Glass
City of Fallen Angels
At least, I think so. ;)
And I don't have a cat. Just to let you know.
But my bookshelf desperately wants another book.
You think I'm kidding?
As you may or may not have noticed, I do not use tags. I'm either too lazy, or I forget entirely. Also, I haven't blogged in two days. So, I have to start over.
ONE DAY IN A ROW.
That's where I am now. Let's see how far along I can go.
Now that that's over. I'm going to go back and put tags on some of my more recent posts. I'm too lazy to do all of them right now. Plus, I really want to see Avatar. NO, not the James Cameron one. I may or may not have already told you about my recent obsession with Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Also, I'm thinking of deleting my Reader Person blog. I don't even post anymore, so it is somewhat pointless. I'll just post weekly reviews on things from here. But, it is not official yet. I'm still in the thinking process.
Also, I'm hoping to get little scenes here and there. By scenes, I mean bits and pieces that pop into my mind at random moments. Short stories, if you will. But I will be calling them scenes.
I think that is about it.
So, here's my reading update.
I'm starting to get back into reading, and so far, this month:
The Wild Girls by Pat Murphy. Finished. 7/2/10. Four stars.
Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment by James Patterson. Finished. 7/6/10. Four stars.
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan. Finished. 7/7/10. Four stars.
The Dead-Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan. Reading. Page 138.
And that is about it.
I plan on posting a little bit later. I have not forgotten my Saturday Versus. If you've got any ideas, for today and for Saturdays in the future, please tell me. :)
And if I don't do a Saturday Versus, I will probably.... uh... let's hope we don't get to that. I've had a little bit too much sugar lately.
So, Saturday Versus suggestions will be greatly appreciated. (:
I'm pretty sure all of you have heard this song. I'm pretty sure Rascal Flatts is not the original artist. But I could always be wrong.
So, this is my second post in a row. I will be keeping track of how many days I post in a row. I'm hoping that will somehow get me back into blogging mode.
I have decided that once a week I'll do some sort of review or commentary thing. It could be on a book I finished reading, a movie I just saw, maybe a TV series that ended two years ago, but I'm still obsessed about...
Anyways, I've been thinking about this song lately (meaning for the few seconds since I wrote the title of this post). I've always liked this song. I wasn't really sure why. I'm still not too sure. I don't always realize what songs are trying to say, even if I know every word by heart, backwards, forwards, upside-down, and turned around.
There are some songs that I compare to books. Out of nowhere, I'll be hearing My Chemical Romance or The All-American Rejects, and think "Hey, I wonder if this is a good song for Vampire Academy or The Hunger Games." It's always random. No warning or notice ahead of time. Just- BAM!
And then I'm caught. Not only must I sing along to the song, I have to look into the lyrics. I have to study each and every word. I have to find out what they could mean, what they might mean, how they would fit with the book. Would it make sense? What characters point of view? Which parts fit, which parts don't? Does the point of view change in the song? Is there a part that fits for, let's say, Rose, but another that fits for Adrian, or possibly Dimitri. (Rose, Adrian, and Dimitri are from Vampire Academy.)
Anyways, questions like those. Not that I always think these questions while I'm answering them. Does that make sense? It's like a personal check list that I know by heart and don't bother repeating. It's like engraved in my soul, my essence, my being. Okay, maybe not that much. That would just be creepy, wouldn't it?
But they are with me very often. Especially when I'm drowning in my music. I will say that I prefer not to have my music too loud, what with it causing hearing problems later in life. I'm a bit too young to be deaf already. However, I hate hearing the people around me talk when I'm listening to my music. My sense of hearing is a lot better than my other senses. I can hear conversations in the next room, even with my music on a somewhat higher level. So, in order to block out the sound of people talking, I put my music REALLY loud (listening to multiple different things at once tends to give me a headache.). So loud that sometimes, like when I'm in the car, my parents and sister will complain that they can hear my music, too. They also say that I have selective hearing. I can hear things that aren't directed at me, but I find that I don't always hear people when they're talking to me. Weird, huh?
Anyways. That was off topic. The point is, I make connections. Any song I listen to could have a deeper meaning, if I looked hard enough. Sometimes I imagine that I could feel (hear) the hurt and pain, or maybe the love and emotion, or anger, or the... I don't know. It depends on the song. And I hate those stupid upbeat songs. I'm sorry but I do. I'm a somewhat happy person. I've been known to laugh a lot, and stuff like that. But I do not like lyrics that are otherwise upbeat and happy. To me, those are the songs that are pointless. Who wants a happy song? If you were happy, you wouldn't be listening to a happy song. You'd be out in the world, living life, having fun with your friends. Or maybe you're family. When you listen to songs (or at least, when I do), it needs to either be sad, or meaningful. They give you a perspective on life.
Now, Life is a Highway isn't necessarily a happy song. But it's also not a sad song. I will say now, that I do not go by general categories, at least, not usually. So, Life is a Highway goes into the meaningful category. It MEANS something. But WHAT does it mean. Well, that depends.
Whooo umm yeah...Life's like a road that you travel on
When there's one day here and the next day gone
Sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand
Sometimes you turn your back to the wind
There's a world outside ev'ry darkened door
Where blues won't haunt you anymore
Where brave are free and lovers soar
Come ride with me to the distant shore
We won't hesitate
To break down the garden gate
There's not much time left today
Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way
I wanna drive it all night long
Through all these cities and all these towns
It's in my blood and it's all around
I love you now like I loved you then
This is the road and these are the hands
From Mozambique to those Memphis nights
The Khyber Pass to Vancouver's lights
Knock me down get back up again
You're in my blood
I'm not a lonely man
There's no load I can't hold
Road so rough this I know
I'll be there when the light comes in
Just tell 'em we're survivors
Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way
I wanna drive it all night long
Gimme gimme gimme gimme yeah
Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way
I wanna drive it all night long
There was a distance between you and I (between you and I)
A misunderstanding once
But now we look it in the eye
Ooooo...Yeah!
There ain't no load that I can't hold
Road so rough this I know
I'll be there when the light comes in
Just tell 'em we're survivors
Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way
I wanna drive it all night long
Gimme gimme gimme gimme yeah
Now, take the words literally. What does it mean?
Take it figuratively. What COULD it mean?
Put some heart and soul into it. Give it life. What does it mean now?
Compare it. To life in general, to YOUR life, to a book, a movie, maybe another song.
Think about what the writer may or may not have been thinking while writing this song.
Think of any other questions I mentioned above. Any other question you have.
There's my lesson on song analyzing.
Good luck.
(Maybe I'll have a weekly lesson. (: )
Or more accurately, getting into the habit. Breaking the Habit is a song by Linkin Park. Hopefully you've heard of them. Because if you haven't, I probably sound like some sort of freak who listens to nonexsistant bands. Right?
Anyways, I haven't blogged in a while. I also have not been commenting much or discovering new blogs. I've been busy lately. I didn't realize on how much I've been missing out. So, I promise I will try and comment on your blogs whenever I can. Otherwise, check my posts. I plan on blogging somewhat regularly. Maybe I'll leave you something special to read. :)
Anyways, here's my life:
busy
yet, boring
I am an Avatar: The Last Airbender freak. I'm sure none of you have even heard of that show. *Sigh.* Oh well. You're missing out.
Also, I'm level 28 on Farmville.
Reading is also something I'm starting to pick up. Haven't read in a while. I did not realize that I gave up two of the things I loved the most. I'm still getting the hang of blogging. Please come back to me.
Anyways:
Goodnight.
Sleep tight.
Then something about bedbugs.
But why would you want such a horrible thought to ruin your night's sleep?
This isn't that depressing. Unless you guys care more than I think you do. No I said that wrong. Anyways, sorry for not posting in a while. Like I said, you might not care either way. Anyways, I've been busy. I'm trying to get used to summer. It's weird. I'm not sure how regularly I'll be posting. But,
Happy Fourth of July! (In case I can't post again before then.)
SO I haven't posted in four days. Woops. Sorry about that. I probably would've bored you all to death anyway. Nothing has happened. Yesterday was the last day of school. It was THE best last day of school I ever had. After school, I went with my friend to her aunt's house. We watched the Mexico vs. France soccer game. Everybody was cheering when Mexico won. It was really cool.
I'm at my mom's school right now. I was helping her clean her classroom. Now it's my breaktime. Or something like that. On Sunday I'm leaving for CalState Long Beach. I'll be coming back on Saturday. So, I might not post next week. I'll try, though.
There's nothing for today.
Have a good writing day!
I am currently obsessed with Avatar. And though I love the movie, I'm not talking about that Avatar. I'm talking about the cartoon television series. (Why did I say television instead of TV?) I had loved it. After the season finale, I had stopped watching it. That was two years ago. Occasionally, I would see it on the TV guide, but I wouldn't care too much. So, on Friday I was talking to my cousin. Somehow we got to talking about what movies we want to see in the theaters. We got to Avatar, and she tells me about this marathon. They're showing all the seasons with captions. By any chance, have you seen those Pop-up Editions of Disney Channel movies? Well, it's kind of like that. So, I saw the end of the first season on Friday. All this week, they're showing the second season. I'm assuming next weekend is the third season. And from what she told me, they're making a last season, which is why they're showing all the previous episodes. Anyways, I had completely forgotten how cool the series was. Now, I'm like obsessed over it again. I cannot wait for the movie. I REALLY hope they don't mess it up.
Whenever I watch it, I wonder which element I would love to control. What kind of -bender do I want to be? I will say that I would not like to be an airbender. It's cool, I guess, but I wouldn't want to be one. I cannot seem to choose between fire, water, and earth, though. Fire is just awesome. I would love to be a firebender, except for the fact that the fire nation is about as close to evil as you can get without actually being "evil." I would love to be a waterbender because the earth is 75% water. Also, it would be helpful when stranded on an island or in the middle of a desert. However, earth is also awesome. There's a girl named Toph. She's blind, but because she's an earthbender, she can feel the vibrations, and that's how she sees. She is THE best earthbender. Trust me, she is. And that is why I love earthbending. You don't have to see. You rely on what you feel. You have to admit, that's cool.
So, at this point, I'm leaning towards Earth. But I change my mind constantly.
What element would you be?
Have a good writing day.
